About Sugar Hollow Canine

At Sugar Hollow Canine, we consider it a privilege to preserve and improve the AKC Miniature Schnauzer breed. Our program focuses on health, temperament, structure, early socialization, and placing puppies in homes that understand and appreciate the breed.

Thoughtful Breeding.
Lifelong Support.

My name is Hannah Day, the breeder behind Sugar Hollow Canine. Since 2016, I have devoted myself to the careful, ethical raising of exceptional AKC Miniature Schnauzers. Each dog in our program is first and foremost a beloved member of our family, and every puppy is raised in our home with love, structure, and attention from birth.

Guided by a deep respect for the breed, our program prioritizes thoughtful pairings, comprehensive DNA and OFA health testing, balanced temperaments, and AKC breed-standard qualities. We focus on puppies who can thrive in companion, service, agility, or working homes with families who truly understand the Miniature Schnauzer breed.

Our commitment does not end when a puppy goes home. We proudly offer lifetime support to every family, and we work carefully to match each puppy with the right home based on owner preferences, our professional judgment, and the puppy’s unique personality.

Our Process

Our Miniature Schnauzer puppies are placed with approved families, beginning with those on our waiting list. From application through puppy matching, we keep the process clear, personal, and focused on finding the right fit.

1. Apply & Get Approved

Start by completing our puppy application and sharing your preferred color, gender, and purchase timeframe. Approved families may then join our waiting list.

2. Reserve Your Place

A nonrefundable $500 deposit secures your position and is applied toward the total puppy price of $3,500 plus tax. A waitlist position is not reserved until the deposit is received, and deposits never expire.

3. Litter Updates & Matching

Waiting-list families are notified of a litter’s birth within two weeks of whelping. Puppies are matched between 4 and 7 weeks of age using your preferences, our professional judgment, and each puppy’s personality.

4. Meet Your Puppy

To protect our dogs and puppies, we do not offer in-person visits to our home because of biosecurity and insurance requirements. We are happy to introduce our dogs and puppies virtually by FaceTime and help your family feel confident in the match.

A Few Important Details

Not every planned mating results in a litter, and every litter is different. If a current litter is not the right fit, you may remain on our waiting list for a future litter and often move closer to the first position as other families are matched. Occasionally, puppies become available after waiting-list families have been matched and are then listed on our website.

We reserve the right to retain a puppy from any litter. Families joining the waiting list agree to the current price; future pricing changes may apply to families who have not yet joined. The right match is worth the wait, and we are committed to helping each family find the puppy best suited to their home.
